What is nursing homes?

Does Medicare pay for a nursing home?

Medicare covers up to 100 days of skilled rehabilitation after a qualifying hospital stay (fully for the first 20 days, with a copay after that). It does not cover long-term custodial care, which is private pay, long-term care insurance, or Medicaid.
